Few words about trading in EvE Online

Welcome on blog about EvE ISK. Today I would like to talk about trading in EvE. As you probably noticed trading can be very profitable in EvE Online, however it takes ISK to make more ISK. Also trading can be really boring because you need to take the same route over and over, but it’s still very good source of EvE Online ISK.

First thing is to find good trade route; you need to go into market option in a station. Once you have opened that make sure to select the entire region of space your in. This allows you to search all over the region for trade routes. To select an item, just click on the green button.
Best thing in trading business are “double trade routes”. These routes are very rare and worth of your time. Most of the time trade goods with high costs yield a greater profit and are nice for trade, but they take a lot of your cargo hold. Trade routes in EvE due run out of demand, so here are a list of key things you need to know about trading in EVE.

First of all when you want to look for a new trade route, check out into market option in a station. You need to look for advanced market info. You can check out whole region and there, you will find two tabs, one “supply” and one “demand”. This way you can find out where on the map systems players are selling and buying. On the map, you need to look for “green” glowing lights on the systems, that means the price should be high enough to bother. “Red” glowing light usually means that it’s waste of your time. You can check them by sliding your mouse over the systems dot on the map – just hold your mouse there a little bit and you will see systems name and price of the item + other info. After flipping back and forth through the tab and you decide on a route my personal opinion is that you should travel to the buy system.

If you traveled to the system and it contains many systems what you do is pick one go to it and dock. Once again pull up advanced market info but change your selection of region to system. This will give you a map and will show you what stations are buying and selling. It’s a faster way then flying to all of the stations.

Remember!

- if you wish to hold more cargo, cargo expanders are great – but in other hand your starship will be slower
- make sure to check your cargo capacity and the density of the object you only wanna buy what you can hold
- remember to look for the double trade route
- be very weary of people in the system with you, they probably know what your doing if it is a good run

Jump Clones

Welcome on EvE Online ISK! Today small guide, related to the topic “how Jump Clones and Clone Jumping” in our EvE Online works!
First of all to install a jump clone, you must have either a personal or corporate standing over 8.0 in the space station you are trying to install the clone in. You must remember – station must also have medical facilities!

After a jump clone is installed in that station, think of it as a destination. The best way to understand how jump clones work is to completely separate the ideas of your medical clones and your jump clones. What happens to one does not affect the other.
How it works: first of all you install a Jump Clone in station “A”, and then leave the station and go to another station – “B”. If you are there – at “B” – you can choose to jump to “A”, regardless of your standings with the owner of “B” station (even its without medical facility). After you jump, you become the clone and are instantly moved to the station “A”, and your previous clone is left behind as a new jump clone in station “B”.

It’s kinda simple how it works, but you should remember also other things related like…

Remember!!!!! It’s possible once every 24 hours to “clone jump”– this requires pause your skill training. When you are pod-killed, you will always go back to your medical clone station, and any implants in your current clone will be destroyed. Another thing is that if you are pod-killed, in any way, it does not affect your jump clones, so don’t panic.

New EvE Online novel

Welcome on EvE Online ISK. According to official website, CCP Games main Creative Writer Hjalti Danielsson to pen a novel set in the EVE Online.

“CCP is pleased to announce a grand space opera set in the universe of EVE Online, the largest and most successful science fiction Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) today with over 300,000 subscribers worldwide. EVE: The Burning Life will be published in November 2009 via partnerships with Tor Books and Orion Books.” – we can read. Well, after last year’s EVE: The Empyrean Age novel by Tony Gonzales (which has well-written, deep story and answers a lot of questions surrounding the events of “EvE Online: The Empyrean Age” – if you can, check it out), I’, really looking forward for another book in great EvE setting.
Well’ I read tons of books set in Star Wars setting or World of Warcraft and I was scared “another Sith Lord”? Another “Burning Legion” invasion?! D’OH! No way!
EvE Online: The Empyrean Age is high quality science-fiction novel, NOT like Star Wars/WoW mistakes.

Anyway ”The Burning Life” is the first work of Hjalti Daníelsson who has worked in different capacities on EVE Online since its 2003 release and currently serves as CCP’s main creative writer for the EVE Online setting.

(EvE Online: The Empyrean Age teaser)

So if you like books and EvE Online, you should run to your bookstore and buy “The Empyrean Age”. Don’t know about you, but I’m waiting for “EvE: The Burning Life”

EvE Online and billions ISK stolen

Welcome on EvE Online ISK. Today about another scam in EvE Online, because one of the game’s biggest financial institutions lost a significant blow of its deposits as a theft started a run on the bank. How much this time well, around 200 billion of EvE Online ISK (£3,115) was stolen by one of the bank’s controllers. I was in early June but only now have details emerged about the amount of money stolen and why it was taken. What about bank? Well, the run on the bank has come to about 600 billion ISK, which has been withdrawn. However, they had a very big group of supporters, who have deposited about 105 billion ISK to keep us liquid. The theft was carried out by EBank’s chief executive, a player known as Ricdic, now known to be a 27-year-old Australian who works in the technology industry. His full identity has not been revealed save that his name is Richard.
We now know, that Ricdic used these money to put down a deposit on a house and to paysome medical bills.
“I’m not proud of it at all, that’s why I didn’t brag about it,” Ricdic told Reuters. “But you know, if I had to do it again, I probably would’ve chosen the same path based on the same situation.”

Well, another scam or scandal and almost 0 reaction from CCP company…

Eve Online Economic Reports 2009

Welcome on EvE Online ISK. Today I would like to introduce, another Eve Online Economic Reports are out, for the first quarter of 2009. Most interesting thing is that the subscription base is still increasing which is very nice. Game is little bit old, but World of Warcraft is another “old” MMORPG and player base is still growing up! 5 years after premiere official premiere! But it is not blog about WoW, lets back to EvE Online. Well, active subscribers in Eve Online players “grew from 245,000 to 285,000” and still going up. It’s maybe not much in comparision to World of Warcraft which has 12 millions, but other MMORPG like Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has around 300 k and Lord of the Rings Online: Shadow of Angmar around 200 k, so EvE Online has quite solid player base.

What is also interesting in this report…Well, the average wallet size has gone from 300 millions to 500 millions EvE Online isk the last 2007. Players have more and more expensive starship, which is not a surprise. The number of players having over a billion eve ISK is up to about 30 k, about 15 % of the total accounts in Eve Online.

Another quite interesting thing is that 67 % of all sleeper tech traded is done in Jita. Its kinda surprising that trades doesn’t spread in other parts of universe. Report is really huge, so if you like statistic data, check it out. I don’t have much patience to read all ;-)

You can check out all the report right here.

EvE Online Pirate Guide 3

Welcome on EvE Online ISK. Today, last part of my pirate guide matey! This time is all about unexpected surprises! Well, life of a pirate is kinda dangerous and exiting, that why you should know better about the unexpected….Aye!

- Most common thingy is when your pray is fighting back! Aye! Best thingy in life of a pirate! If ya wining talk with him and rise your price! Yeah its bad when ya got to low firepower and damn pray is beating ya! Worst thingy in life of a pirate! Shame! Nope I don’t pay then! Well, if you are beginner it can happen, so don’t worry but try to do it better next time matey!

- Do not follow your victim to station or gate! Sentries will blow up your precious ship! Yeah it’s very common in EvE Online, charge to gate/station and die! Pirate must think! So use your brain, before running in screaming “ARRR!!!!” in local chat! Remember matey!

- Remember to give a time limit for payment! People are trying to earn some time and ask for help (friends, corp), so DONT give em time! Pay or die! Aye!! It’s very common method used by your victims, well just be tough pirate matey! No Mercy!
- Yeah, you and your pray…but what’s that!!! Friends arrived! Damn! Now you’ve got 2 options matey! Charge on your enemies or run away! Best pirate is live pirate, remember about that matey! So think twice in these kinda situation!

- Damn I hate log out! If someone is playin with ya – destroy ship! These can’t be tolerated if ya ARRR professional! Or double your ransom EvE Online ISK price! It’s happening all the time so stay on your guard matey!

Well I hope this guide will help ya get a lot of EvE Online ISK

EvE Online Pirate Guide 2

Welcome on another part of my guide for pirates matey! Well, probably easiest way to make cash is to ransom ships, players are willing to pay more to preserve their ship and fitting, than they are to see it go up in smoke and end up in an egg with you demanding EvE Online ISK. You’ll find that if you just go around blowing people up, a lot of people won’t trust your word to let them go after a ransom, and won’t pay up. To ransom a ship I suggest starting the price off at half the market value of the vessel. You can increase or decrease price – it depend on character age or fitting etc. You should also remember to be man of your word, if some pay you, don’t try to blow him up. It’s pointless and if someone know that you are actually blowing ships up after someone pay you, you just lose EvE Online ISK.

What is quite interesting, most players are very happy to pay the ransom to survive intact. Ok now, few tips before you start your pirate job matey!

- Stay alert! Be prepared to fire your lasers and turrets at any target. Who knows what hiding in THAT spaceship?!

- Remember, that every player has friends, and they are probably organizing a rescue mission. Time is precious. Remember about that matey!

- Sometimes, you ask for 20 mln isk, and player gives you 2 mln, it’s trick so be prepared for that kind of thingies. Arrrr!

- If you see numbers in local swelling, it’s good idea to tell him to hurry up.

What when someone won’t pay you? Arrrrr!

- “Commence primary ignition” – love Star Wars:P. Just turn him into a pile of space junk. After that just ransom the pod.

- If he is out of Eve Online ISK, ask him to eject, and you’ll spare his virtual life. This actually works, even its stupid!

Ransom? How much matey?! Well, ya need to consider few thingies! Aye!

- Most important matey is character age – young and fresh ships – clone is cheap (without implants! Aye) if he’s old, raise your ransom price aye!

- Your pray is worth more If he’s an alliance member, or part of a large corporation – raise the stakes (more EvE Online ISK – better), and make him pay! Aye!

- This twice after ya attack other starship! If your pray attack call you badly, insult ya, – another few million / per insult! Buhaha Aye!

And one thingy at the end! Don’t belevem em! “OMG I’m so poor! I have no implants! Don’t hurt me!” Rise damn price matey and check out his reaction! Aye!

See ya again matey on EvE Online ISK!

EvE Online Pirate Guide

Ahoy mates! I would like to start my guide for EvE Online called…Pirate Guide! Yeah that’s right, if you always wanted to became guy with parrot, peg leg, hook, cutlass, bicorne hat, Jolly Roger, Royal Navy and your favorite word is YAARGHH – it’s only one truth. You are pirate! So Grab the sails there, mate!

Ok let’s start this!

1. First steps as pirate Arrr!

Arrr! Pirating is really hard piece of bread matey! It’s hard to earn ISK that way, why but if you like this kinda things, you will do it for fun! It can be really exiting way to earn EvE Online Isk. You should know mate that, piracy occurs on many various levels, and have many forms, from small to huge scale belt raids, to sentry tanking-gate camping total massacre. Well, your choice of ship depends completely on the type of piracy you want to engage in.

2. Which ship is best for me… Arrr!

Well, if you are beginner just pick up small ships like tech1 frigates and cruisers. Probably best t1 frigate for pirate stuff is a Rifter or a Punisher, some people are also using an Incursus too, but I prefer my. Accept one brutal truth matey! You’re going to lose a lot of ships! So don’t spend too much Isk for starship, I tell ya! Arrr!
If ya confident as pilot or frigates, try moving take a cruiser. You need a weaponry and other stuff to be successful so take fitted platerax, a close range, tanked rupture or a Dura-Maller – it’s good stuff I tell ya! Remember matey, your ship must be fast, and need a lot of midslots to run at least a MWD and a Scrambler.
One small thing matey! Never, ever underestimate other ships Arrr! Maybe your opponent’s a stasis webifier/warp disruptor and some heavy drones waiting for ya! Be prepared for worst I tell ya! Arrr!

To be contined Arrr!

See ya again on EvE Online Isk Arrr!

EvE Online ISK Guide 1

Welcome friends on my EvE Online ISK – Blog. Today I would like to start my small guide for all gamers who want to earn some more EvE ISK! This guide will be separated into several small parts, so check, from time to time my space blog. Well let’s talk about….

Remember – don’t waste your time!
You, know trading (read about that down below) takes time. You should make a trade run, which is very fast for you (3-4 jump route). Many players are taking long road for big one-time ISK amount, but my experience is that, you should make several smaller trade runs, then ONE, BIG trade run. You will be surprised, how much more EvE Isk you can get :-). So – few small trade runs are better then big one.

Trade in EvE Online
Well, trading is really great way to obtain ISK, but is probably one of the most dangerous, occupations one could take up. In Eve You can earn thousand or millions of ISK’s, and loose them in one moment. That’ why I want to explain few rules to help you understand this dangerous, but exciting way to help your wallet.

The Economics
Other way to earn some EvE Online ISK is to buy something at a low price and sell it at a higher price. It’s very simple way to earn cash using your own cash, without trade runs and stuff like that. You should train this type of doing business, if you are enough experienced, you earn really a lot of money! My first MMO where I learned few things about trading was World of Warcraft, few years ago. With my friends I created very profitable in-game “company”…Now I’m playing in EvE so WoW is now history.

Cally and biggest scam in EvE Online

Welcome on EvE Online Isk – Blog. I want something about scams in EvE Online, just like in my previous post. As i mentioned before, now community of EvE gamers is quite, and barely had time to calm down and here is another scam, that very easily surpasses scam from my previous post…
Today I’m bringing, fascinating story of a guy named “cally”. This dude ran a his own corporation- more specific- he was head and rules of a bank called “Eve Intergalactic Bank”. You probably know what happened next, heh. Well this dude, run bank in normal way so hundreds of players deposited ISK in his bank.. Cally, one day, decided to take all EvE Online Isk from bank and run off to space with an alleged total sum of 790 billion Isk ( it’s around $170,000!!!!). It’s biggest MMO scam ever conducted. Well that good he dont run away with my money heh..

isk1

This guy, Cally also took the time to record a video in which he confesses his crimes and just make fun from all EvE Online community…
This is going to far, in my opinion, honest players who just want to have fun are punched in face without reason. Massive bans should help this anarchic online world, or all EVE one day collapse in Chaos!

Thank you and see you next time on EvE Online Isk Website!

Interview with Dr Eyjo Gudmundsson

Welcome on EvE Online ISK. I’ve found very interesting interview with Dr Eyjo Gudmundsson is economist involved in EvE Online world (in article they call him “virtual Alan Greenspan” – well, NOW when world is in crisis is kinda silly comparison…;-)). As you probably already know, every quarter Dr Gudmundsson and his team produce an economic newsletter analyzing trends inside the game. He is collaborating with real world academic institution like Helsinki Institute of Research and Technology, where they are looking into how to evaluate virtual economies and compare “that to other virtual worlds and moving that experience over to the real world.”
Anyway he comment scams and freud in EvE “Eve is a very competitive game and is happening in a super-capitalistic environment – corporate espionage is a very big part of the game.” He also added ”We are discussing this with players. To what extent should we provide protection for players.”

Well, Dr Gudmundsson also added that “It’s the challenge of being able to be the best at planning ahead, the one who controls a large territory, showing your skills in running a corporation that has up to 1,000 members.” True, true, true – it’s hard to imagine how to live normal life and run large corporation…
“Eve is a great place to learn business skills, or to sharpen business skills. Players have written to us to say that they have gone on to establish successful businesses after playing Eve.”

If you would like to check whole article, check out this link. Enjoy!

Well, in the future I will add post about that, so check out my weblog again!
